This short 3 hour workshop can be offered as a stand alone workhop or as part of a one day course in conjunction with ´Essential mediator tools´.
These workshops can be delivered to larger groups.
The workshop helps delegates understand the positive behaviours and thinking which help resolve conflict. It aims to help people change their attitude to conflict and adopt new constructive behaviours e.g.: developing a more tolerant approach, creating a curious stance, encouraging people to seek joint outcomes, fostering collaborative approaches, an emphasis on people and relationship building.
The workshop is a powerful and fascinating session which helps people re-evaluate how they handle situations, their approach to people and management.
The course contains presentation, video scenarios, video demonstrations, individual workbook exercises, exercises to support co-working, some small group work, and large group facilitation. All serving to practically illustrate the theory and thinking behind effective work with conflict.
The workshop offers an insight into the theory and thinking that explains how and why people behave in conflict. Delegates will be able to
- Reappraise their own approach to conflict
- Understand other’s conflict behaviour
- Know which behaviours can escalate conflict
- Know which behaviours can de-escalate conflict
- Understand the 5 types of conflict
