The mediation scene in Wales is a growing arena.

The Ministry of Justice´s Small Claims Mediation Service operates from Civil Justice Centres across the UK. The national pilot recently won an international award and client feedback has to date been very positive. It is expected that this will be rolled out nationally as a matter of course. The Service is accessed through your local Civil Justice Centre.

Recently Cardiff County Council announced their Trading Standards mediation service. This is a pilot and may be the shape of things to come for local authorities across Wales and the UK.

Most commonly used are Family Mediation Services operating under the Family Law Act for couples separating or divorcing. See our Links page for umbrella bodies to find local services. Such services can also be provided by your local solicitor.
